NAVASOTA PD DRUG TAKE BACK EVENT
WHEN: Saturday, April 28th 2018
TIME: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
WHERE: City of Navasota - City Hall Parking Lot at Holland Street.
Area residents may dispose of expired or unused medication from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at the Navasota City Hall parking lot at Holland Street. THIS INCLUDES LOCAL COUNTY RESIDENTS.
The city of Navasota Police Department, in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Nationwide Drug Take-Back event, participates in the event annually. At the Drug Take-Back event, participants can safely dispose of all accumulated expired, unwanted and unused prescription drugs. The service is free and anonymous. You do not have to be a resident of Navasota to participate. Neighboring communities and counties may also take advantage of this opportunity.
Medications may be submitted in original containers, but the individual should remove any identifying information from the prescription label. All solid dosage pharmaceutical products and liquids in consumer containers may be dropped off. Intravenous solutions, injectable substances and syringes will not be accepted.
The department will accept prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, patches, vitamins and pet medicine. They will not accept needles and sharps, mercury (thermometers), chemotherapy or radioactive substances, oxygen containers, pressurized containers or inhalers or illicit drugs.
