POLLING PLACES FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION
Where is My New Voter Registration Card?
All voter cards expired on December 31, 2011. New voter cards are mailed out every two years. Under normal circumstances, these cards would have been mailed out in December. We have been told not to expect new cards until late February or early March. You will receive your card in time for the 2012 Primary Election.
Counties are still awaiting the go-ahead from the Secretary of State to send out Voter Cards which is dependant upon the outcome of the re-districting lawsuits. In this particular cycle, a challenge has been made to the redistricting boundaries drawn by the 82nd Texas Legislature. For information on redistricting in Texas click here http://www.txredistricting.org
It is not necessary to re-apply for a new Voter Card unless you have moved or have had a name change.
Voters may call the local Registrar’s Office to verify registration. For more information call 936-873-4424.
